BEHIND THE MUSIC

Joel Everett is an Emmy Award winning composer who enjoys getting to the heart of the story with the gift of music.  Music has a unique ability to touch people's hearts, and he is blessed to be part of that.

In addition to his writing and arranging, Joel can be found as a freelance Keyboardist, Percussionist, 

and serving as Music Director of St. John Baptist de La Salle Catholic Church.

He can found playing the piano in the Elikin Big Band and the Salem Swing Band.

​

In addition, he is the founder and music director of the Silent Film ensemble: Moving Picture Philharmonic. 

​​

He received his Associate of Arts from the College of Dupage and his Bachelor of Music from Columbia College.

​​

In 2014, he was awarded an Emmy for his work on a local television documentary

celebrating the centennial of Winston-Salem.
